Anders Juel Bomholt is a Danish double bass player and composer rooted in the lyrical and atmospheric soundscapes of Nordic jazz and folk music. Growing up in Jutland, he began his musical journey on the electric bass before transitioning to the double bass; an instrument that would come to define his artistic voice. His dedication to the craft led him to Sweden, where he studied under the legendary bassist Anders Jormin, immersing himself in a tradition that blends improvisation with melodic depth. Now based in Copenhagen, Bomholt is an active figure in the Danish jazz scene, known for his subtle interplay, deep tone, and a musical expression that bridges the contemplative nature of Nordic jazz with the storytelling soul of folk traditions.
